As the founder and training instructor of Bitty Ballet, Laura has a passion for dance and for developing a true love of dance at a young age. She has over 18 years of traditional dance instruction in tap, jazz and ballet at One Broadway the Dance Centre (Hershey, PA) and Penn State University (State College, PA), which has created an extensive understanding of the basics of dance movement & methods, as well as group fitness instruction at various centers in central Pennsylvania.

With two kids at home, working with young children is a great fit and she truly enjoys watching them grow and love dance.

Melissa Totani

Instructor (West Chester)

Melissa is our West Chester, PA lead instructor. She brings over 15 years of dance experience to our program. She studied tap, jazz and ballet at One Broadway The Dance Center (Hershey, Pa). She continued to dance through college and has never lost her love for dance.

Melissa has two young sons and has lived in the Exton and Downingtown area for over 12 years. She is excited to introduce the program to young artists in the area and pass along the love of dance!

Sarah Misko

Instructor (Pittsburgh)

A forever-student of ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, pointe and acrobatics, Sarah has been dancing since the age of three and performing on the musical theatre stage since six. Sarah studied at Shenandoah Conservatory with a focus in musical theatre performance and a minor in dance, specializing in jazz and tap. Upon graduation, Sarah spent two years with the National Tour of Fiddler on the Roof and has performed in nearly all 50 states with this and several other regional theatre and dance companies.

Always having a strong connection with little ones, Sarah has served as a trusted nanny to the elite of NYC and the Greater Pittsburgh area. A self-proclaimed “yogi,” Sarah hopes to bring light and joy to your children through the power of active movement, and plans to use her theatrical experience to enhance the overall journey of your precious ones as they learn to grow, interact and express themselves through dance.

Randi Rochefort

Instructor (Camp Hill)

Randi brings over 17 years of dance experience to our program and aides in Camp Hill. She studied ballet, pointe, jazz and flag twirling at Excel Dance Studio in Michigan. Randi also has many years of experience with young children, she was a preschool teacher in Camp Hill and does nannying.
She has lived in Harrisburg for the past five years and loves everything that Pennsylvania has to offer. Randi has a passion with children and loves to dance. She is very excited to put both passions together and help show the joy and love that dance brings.

Kamryn Popchak

Instructor (State College)

Kamryn is our lead instructor in State College and brings over 25 years of dance experience to our program and is excited to be coming back into the dance world. She grew up dancing at One Broadway Dance Center in Hershey, PA as well as Carousel of Dance in Reading, PA. During summer breaks at college, she performed at Hershey Park in the Music Box and Amphitheater. As a 2006 graduate of Wagner College, she was a member of the Dance Team and has a certification in Elementary Education.

Her love and passion to work with children led her to a teaching position in 2nd grade, as well as at Generation Dance, teaching the baby tap and ballet classes. Kamryn’s family moved to State College in 2012. With 4 beautiful children, she is thrilled to teach Bitty Ballet and pass on her love for dance.

Christi Zahm

Instructor (Lancaster)

Christi is our lead instructor in Lancaster, PA. She brings over 23 years of dance experience to our program. She studied classical ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, and modern dance. Originally from Alabama, Christi danced with several competitive Dance Masters programs. Her love of music and dance also led her into the school band, where she was in color guard for 3 years.

She lives in Lancaster with her husband and three year old twins, Mazie and Noah, who like their Mom, love to dance! Her daughter Mazie is a student of the Bitty Ballet program. In her spare time, Christi enjoys shopping, reading, yoga, and spending time with her family.

Taya Kobrynich

Aide (West Chester)

Taya is a student of dance and elementary education at West Chester University. She started dancing at three in her hometown of Scranton, Pennsylvania and has been in love with it ever since. Taya has studied classical ballet, jazz, lyrical, modern, contemporary, musical theatre, acrobatics, and some ballroom. Bitty Ballet is the perfect place for her to combine passions for both dancing and working with children. Aside from dance, Taya enjoys doing yoga, reading, acting, singing, and writing.
